Where the figures come from
Duty and tax figures are reproduced from the Operative Tariff 2026-2027 published by the National Board of Revenue. Chapter and heading titles are drawn from the Harmonized System nomenclature and, where stated, entered manually. The underlying rates are public information published by the Government of Bangladesh.
Rates change, and this site may lag
Tariff rates change with each national budget and, during the year, through Statutory Regulatory Orders (SROs), exemptions and special notifications. A rate shown here may have been superseded. SRO-based concessions, end-use exemptions and preferential rates under trade agreements are not reflected in these pages.
Classification is not determined here
Deciding which HS code applies to a particular consignment is a legal determination made by the customs authority, applying the General Rules of Interpretation. A description matching your goods on this site does not establish the correct classification. Two goods that sound similar can fall under different headings and attract materially different duty.

The assessable-value calculator is an arithmetic illustration using the published percentages. It does not account for landing charges as assessed by customs, SRO concessions, minimum values, specific duties, or any adjustment made during assessment. Results will differ from an actual assessment.
